About Me

A short story about my Professional life

My name is Leonardo Gill, and I’m a Brazilian designer with a degree in Design with an emphasis on Marketing from ESPM. I started my career in production studios, creating TV commercials and Out-of-Home (OOH) media. Later, I transitioned to television, working as a Senior Designer at Fox Sports Brasil, where I was part of the On-Air team responsible for developing the channel’s entire visual content. This included promos, show intros, bumpers, lower thirds, in-show graphics, LED screens, and other broadcast materials.

I was later invited to join TV Globo’s Promo team as a Senior Designer and was soon promoted to Lead Designer, overseeing the department. After that, I became a Creative Lead, focusing not only on design but also on mentoring and developing creative professionals. Alongside incredibly talented teams, I contributed to award-winning projects and campaigns.

I always strive to see things from different perspectives, making connections, observing the world, and constantly learning. My creativity comes from observation, contemplation, and the pursuit of knowledge—which is why I live by KEEP DOING ART.

Some might say the correct phrase should be KEEP MAKING ART, but for me, there’s a deeper distinction:

  • Making is about output—expressing ideas, bringing something from the inside out, creating a final piece.
  • Doing is about input—absorbing inspiration, learning, practicing, and evolving through the process.

Art is not just about the final product; it’s about the journey. That’s why I believe in KEEP DOING ART—continuously learning, experimenting, and pushing creative boundaries.
